Grade 1 tree planting along the Coq

If you noticed little tree planters this spring along the Coquihalla River trails, you probably saw the grade one class from Hope Elementary on a tree planting field trip. Seedlings planted over the past year or so didn't survive, so it was a great opportunity to educate and engage our young people in the ways of environmental stewardship!

CLCCF was excited to be able to participate and provide the seedlings to plant for the Hope Municipality Trail Improvement Project. We'd like to thank John Mason, Victor Smith and their group of volunteers for all of their help and support for putting this on; Elske von Hardenberg for her expertise, time and arranging the seedlings to be provided; as well as the Hope Elementary school and the grade one children for all of their hard work.
